About Jennifer Eaton Gokmen
Jennifer Eaton Gokmen was born on January 31, 1971, in Michigan. She is a novelist known for her bestselling anthology “Tales from the Expat Harem: Foreign Women in Modern Turkey,” which was published in 2006. In addition to her work as a novelist, she also worked as a travel writer and presenter for several Turkish television programs.
Before gaining recognition as a novelist, Jennifer Eaton Gokmen graduated from Western Michigan University and published travel pieces in National Geographic Traveler and TimeOut Istanbul.
Aside from her professional achievements, it is worth noting that she attended high school in Brentwood, Tennessee. Furthermore, she eventually settled in Istanbul, Turkey with her husband, who is the son of Turkish Republican People’s Party politician Sami Gokmen.
