About Jenna McCorkell
Jenna McCorkell (born September 15, 1986) is a figure skater from Northern Ireland. She has won eleven British National Championships and gold medals at the international Ondrej Nepela and Ice Challenge ice skating competitions between 2003 and 2014. McCorkell also competed in the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.
Before gaining fame, she competed in three World Junior Championships, finishing eleventh at the 2003 event. Notable achievements include finishing in the top ten at the 2008 European Championships and in the top fifteen at the 2010 and 2012 World Championships. Many of her figure skating routines were choreographed by Scottish ice dancer Mark Hanretty.
Born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, McCorkell later lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland; Liedekerke, Belgium; and Ninove, Belgium. In 2008 she married Belgian figure skater Kevin van der Perren.
