Jane Pauley (born October 31, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is a prominent broadcast journalist and television personality known for her work on various television news programs and talk shows. She has anchored shows such as The Today Show (NBC), Real Life with Jane Pauley, the NBC Nightly News, Dateline NBC, and The Jane Pauley Show.
Before her rise to fame, she was an active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority while attending Indiana University.
Pauley is also known for speaking publicly about her struggles with bipolar disorder and releasing a memoir called Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue in 2004. In 1980, she married Garry Trudeau, the creator of Doonesbury cartoon strip. The couple had twins in 1983.
