Jackie Taylor, born on August 10, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, is a renowned movie actress known for her roles in films such as Hoodlum and Barbershop 2: Back in Business. In 2015, she portrayed Olympia in Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in theater and made her on-screen debut in the film Cooley High (1975). Taylor is also the founder and co-artistic director of the Black Ensemble Theater in Chicago where she has produced over 100 new plays. Notably, she earned a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in A Raisin in the Sun at Goodman Theater.
