Jackie Burns, born on October 4, 1980 in Connecticut, is a stage actress known for her portrayal of Elphaba in the hit Broadway musical Wicked. She has also appeared in the Broadway production of Hairspray the Musical and starred in off-Broadway productions including Rock of Ages.
Burns was raised in Middletown and Ivoryton, Connecticut and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2002. She received an Irene Award nomination for her performance as Elphaba. Burns is married to dancer John Selya.
