About J Capri
J Capri, born on December 24, 1991, in Kingston, Jamaica, was a popular Jamaican dancehall singer known for her hit singles such as “Boom and Bend Over” and “Pull Up to Mi Bumper.” Tragically, the rising artist passed away in December 2015 due to injuries sustained in a car accident.
Her love for music blossomed at the age of six when she aspired to become a musician. At seventeen years old, she enrolled in performing arts studies at EXED Community College.
Prior to her untimely death, J Capri had amassed an impressive following on Instagram with over 50,000 devoted fans. She was born Jordan Phillips to Oradell Carwin and Kenneth Phillips; her father was a skilled DJ known by his stage name Mr. Murphy.
