Izia Higelin, born on September 24, 1990 in Senegal, is a French rock singer, guitarist and actress. She is known for her roles in films like Summertime, Saint-Amour, and Rodin. In June 2009, she released her first studio album titled Izia.
Before gaining fame as a musician and actress, Higelin played her first live show in 2004 alongside Caravan Palace bassist Antoine Toustou. At the age of 15, she left school to focus on her music career.
In 2013, she won The Cesar Award for Most Promising Actress for her role in Bad Girl. Her parents are dancer Aziza Zakine and singer Jacques Higelin. Additionally, her half-brothers Arthur and Ken are also musicians. On August 1st, 2018 she had a child with Bastien Burger.
