About Inessa Kravets
Inessa Kravets is a former Ukrainian women’s triple jumper and long jumper, born on October 5, 1966. She achieved international recognition after winning gold in the triple jump at the 1996 Summer Olympics and silver in the long jump at the 1992 Olympics.
Prior to her Olympic success, Kravets grew up in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine where she developed her passion for sports and began competing locally.
However, her career was overshadowed by a doping scandal in 2000 when she tested positive for steroids, leading to a two-year suspension.
