Holly Miranda is a pop singer and multi-instrumentalist born on September 21, 1982, in Detroit, Michigan. She is known for her albums “The Magician’s Private Library” and “Holly Miranda,” as well as for founding the band The Jealous Girlfriends.
She began learning piano at six years old and started playing guitar during her teens. Eventually, she left high school to pursue her music career.
Miranda originally signed with BMG at the age of 17 but did not release any music under the label. In addition to singing and playing various instruments, she also plays trumpet.
While openly gay, Holly Miranda has chosen to keep her sexual orientation separate from her music career.
