Gwyneth Guthrie was a Scottish soap opera actress known for her role as Mary Mack on the series Take the High Road. She was born on April 28, 1937, in Scotland and began her acting career at the age of twelve, appearing in children’s television programs and BBC Radio plays.
After completing the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama’s three-year acting course, she received recognition for her talents, including the James Bridie Silver Medal and an award for Best Character Actress.
She married John Borland in 1959 and continued to portray her character on Take the High Road from 1982 until 2003.
