Gu Jun is a former badminton player from China, born on January 3, 1975. She gained prominence for her exceptional skills in the sport and achieved great success throughout her career.
Gu Jun’s remarkable talent and dedication led to her winning two Olympic gold medals in badminton doubles. She secured these victories at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Prior to her Olympic triumphs, Gu Jun participated in her first Olympics in 1996 alongside partner GE Fei, with whom she claimed the gold medal.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the sport of badminton, Gu Jun was honored with induction into the World Badminton Hall of Fame in 2008.
