Hailing from Lachine, Quebec, Canada, she rose to prominence as a cycling phenom with multiple junior championships and participation in the 2000 Olympics. However, her career took a downward trajectory when it was revealed that she had been using the banned substance EPO since the age of 16.
The scandal led to severe repercussions for both Jeanson and those around her; her coach Andre Aubut and doctor Maurice Duquette were banned from cycling for life due to their involvement in her use of EPO.
