Gelila Bekele is an Ethiopian model and civil rights activist born on September 4, 1986 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She gained recognition for her work as a model and has appeared on the covers of magazines such as Marie Claire, Essence, and Allure.
Bekele began her modeling career after being noticed by a scout for Ford Models while still living in Ethiopia. In addition to her success as a model, she has also been involved in humanitarian work with charitable organizations such as Charity: Water and A Glimmer of Hope.
She was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and later began dating filmmaker Tyler Perry in 2009. In 2014, the couple welcomed their son Aman. However, they ended their relationship in late 2020.
