About Gail Matthius
Gail Matthius is a comedian born on January 14, 1953, in South Dakota. She is best known for her work on Saturday Night Live during the early 1980s and has also appeared in other sketch comedy programs such as Laugh Trax and Assaulted Nuts. In addition to her comedic talents, she has contributed as a voice actress to animated series like Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures.
Before gaining fame, Matthius joined SNL in 1980 where she portrayed the comedic roles of valley girl Vicki, hairdresser Rowena, and game show host Francis Lively. Her voice can be heard as Martha Generic on the Fox Kids series Bobby’s World.
Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Gail Matthius later settled in Los Angeles, California.
