Gaetane Thiney (born October 28, 1985) is a French soccer player known for her impressive career as a midfielder and striker. She gained prominence while playing for FCF Juvisy, where she scored an astounding 97 goals in her first 150 matches with the team. Thiney has been honored twice with the Division 1 Feminine player of the year award and is a key member of the France women’s national football team.
Thiney began her soccer journey in the youth programs of Brienne-Le-Chateau (1990-1998) and Olympique Saint-Memmie (1998-2000). Before joining FCF Juvisy, she played in 102 games for Olympique Saint-Memmie between 2000 and 2006, and in 39 games for US Compiegne Oise from 2006 to 2008.
Born Gaetane Iza Laure Thiney in Troyes, France, she has made significant contributions to both club and international soccer throughout her career.
