About Frankie Cosmos
Greta Simone Kline, born on March 21, 1994 in New York City, is a rock singer known publicly as Frankie Cosmos. She gained recognition for her work as the bassist for Porches before embarking on a successful solo career under the alias Ingrid Superstar. Her debut album “Zentropy” marked the beginning of her rise to fame.
Frankie Cosmos’ musical journey began with early exposure to music from her family and by 7th grade she had already honed her skills on the guitar, despite having training in piano and drums. Afterward, she pursued studies in poetry at New York University.
In addition to her music career, Kline has also ventured into acting with small roles in films such as The Anniversary Party and The Squid and the Whale.
Notably, she hails from a family deeply entrenched in show business; both of her parents are renowned actors – Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates. She also has a brother named Owen. Furthermore, Aaron Maine – head of the band Porches – is not only Kline’s boyfriend but also coined her stage name.
