About Francisco Pena
Francisco Pena (born October 12, 1989) is a Dominican professional baseball player who currently serves as a catcher for the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball. He was born in the Dominican Republic and has also played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, and Kansas City Royals.
Prior to his professional career, Pena gained attention for his performance in the 2001 Little League World Series as part of the Bronx, New York team. He was traded to the Giants from the Cardinals in 2019.
Pena comes from a baseball family – his father is former MLB player Tony Pena and his mother’s name is Amaris. In addition to his MLB career, he won the World Baseball Classic with the Dominican Republic national team in 2013.
