About Francesca Piccinini
Francesca Piccinini, born on January 10th, 1979 in Massa, Italy, is a renowned Italian international outside hitter and volleyball player. She has represented her country at the Olympic Games in 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012. Piccinini was instrumental in leading Italy to its first World Championship title in 2002.
Piccinini began her career by joining Italy’s national team at the young age of 16 in 1995. Throughout her career, she has achieved numerous accolades including gold medals at the World Grand Champions Cup, FIVB World Cup, and European Championship. In addition to these achievements, she was honored as the CEV DenizBank MVP in 2016.
She is the daughter of Roberto and Almarella Piccinini.
