Francelia Billington was a movie actress and cinematographer, born on February 1, 1895 in Dallas, Texas. At the age of 17, she was signed by Kalem studios to replace their departed leading actress, Alice Joyce. Billington developed an interest in operating cameras and made several films for Universal and American Studios. She later appeared in her most acclaimed work, the 1919 film Blind Husbands.
In addition to her acting career, Billington became a talented cinematographer and worked on films such as White Sun. She was the daughter of Adelaide Bueter, a musician, and James Billington.
