Floella Benjamin, born on September 23, 1949 in Trinidad and Tobago, is a renowned TV actress, author, and singer. She is best known for her role as a presenter on children’s programs such as Play School.
Prior to her fame in the entertainment industry, she worked at a bank while attending night school and eventually transitioned into acting in West End musicals.
Aside from her successful career in television, Benjamin has also held notable positions such as Chairman of BAFTA and Governor of the National Film and Television School.
In 1980, she married Keith Taylor.
