About Fernando Gaviria
Fernando Gaviria, born on August 19, 1994 in Colombia, is a well-known cyclist specializing in sprinting. He gained international recognition in 2015 as a member of Team Colombia at the Tour de San Luis, where he secured victory in two sprinting stages. Prior to this success, Gaviria had also achieved the top position in the 2014 Under-23 Pan American road race.
His talent continued to shine as he clinched the gold medal in the Omnium event at the London World Championships in 2016 and had previously accomplished a similar feat at the 2015 World Championships held in Yvelines.
Gaviria comes from a family with cycling prowess; his older sister Juliana Gaviria Rendon is also involved as a track cyclist.
