About Felixia Yeap
Felixia Yeap, born on July 3, 1986 in Malaysia, is a model famous for her unexpected choice to don the hijab – a veil traditionally worn by Muslim women. Prior to this transformation, she gained recognition as a reality television star, beauty pageant contestant and Playboy model.
Before gaining fame in the modeling industry, Yeap worked as a kindergarten teacher and participated in various modeling competitions such as Dewi Remaja, I Wanna Be a Model and Miss Malaysia Tourism. Notably at age twenty, she was a finalist in the Miss Chinese World Malaysia beauty pageant and also achieved the position of runner-up in the Miss Universe Malaysia competition four years later.
Yeap grew up in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. In 2014 following her public adoption of the hijab style into her wardrobe choices marked by announcing her conversion to Islam.
