About Eva Jiricna
Eva Jiřičná is a renowned Czech architect known for her influential work in London and Prague. Born on March 3, 1939, in the Czech Republic, she has made significant contributions to the field of architecture.
Jiřičná gained widespread recognition for her innovative use of steel and glass staircases as well as her economical and creative approach to commercial and retail spaces.
Before gaining fame, she pursued studies in engineering and architecture while earning a Master of Arts at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts. After relocating to London in 1968, she became a member of the Greater London Council.
Notably, Jiřičná formed Jiricna Kerr Associates with Kathy Kerr in 1985, further cementing her impact on architectural design.
Having grown up in Prague, Czechoslovakia with her family, Eva Jiřičná’s legacy continues to inspire future generations within the architectural community.
