About Emily Perkins
Emily Perkins is a Canadian actress born on May 4, 1977, in Vancouver, Canada. She is best known for her role in the TV series Hiccups and in the feature film Ginger Snaps. Perkins won a Leo Award in 2003 for her performance as Sue Lewis in the television drama Da Vinci’s Inquest and also appeared as Britt in the 2008 movie Another Cinderella Story.
Prior to gaining fame as an actress, Perkins was a child actor who made appearances in Small Sacrifices before going on to graduate from the University of British Columbia. Outside of acting, she enjoyed creating sculptures and artworks in her free time and became the caretaker for her two young cousins when their parents were unable to care for them.
Perkins has one older sister and one younger sister, and she married Ernest Mathijs.
