Emeline Michel is a Haitian world music singer and activist, born on March 23, 1967 in Haiti. She is well-known for her unique blend of traditional Haitian music with more contemporary styles.
Michel has showcased her talents at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The United Nations, and Teatro Manzoni. Before rising to fame, she began her musical journey as a choir singer before traveling to the United States to study at the Detroit jazz Center.
Aside from her musical pursuits, Emeline Michel has also been actively involved in humanitarian efforts. She has served as an ambassador for the Red Cross and established her own production company called Cheval de Feu.
