About Ellie Soutter
Ellie Soutter (2000-07-25) was an English snowboarder who gained recognition as one of Great Britain’s promising young talents. She represented her country at events such as the 2017 European Youth Olympics Winter Festival. Tragically, she passed away from suicide near her home in France on her 18th birthday.
Born in England, Soutter spent most of her life in Les Gets, France and received training from Olympic medalist Deborah Anthonioz. Following her passing, the Soutter family established The Ellie Soutter Foundation to support young winter athletes grappling with mental health challenges.
She was primarily raised by her father, Tony Soutter, and is the daughter of bodybuilder and Miss U.K., Lorraine Denman.
