Ellie Harvie, born on April 7, 1965, in Belleville, Canada, is a Canadian TV actress. She is best known for her role as Morticia on the TV sitcom The New Addams Family and for her appearances on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis.
Prior to her acting career, Harvie graduated with a degree in political studies from the University of Manitoba and completed a two-year program at the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre School.
In 1995, she won the Just for Laughs Improv Comedy Tournament as part of the Vancouver TheatreSports team. Additionally, she has made various film appearances in productions such as Happy Gilmore and Tooth Fairy.
Harvie was born as the youngest of five children in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Her father served in the US Air Force.
