Eliana Ramos (born December 23, 1988) was a Uruguayan model best known for her work with the Argentine Dotto Models agency. Tragically, she passed away at the young age of eighteen from a heart attack believed to be caused by anorexia-related malnutrition.
Before gaining fame, Ramos participated in modeling shoots in Mexico and Japan. Her father, Luis Ramos, was a former player for the Uruguayan national soccer team.
Ramos’ tragic death brought attention to the dangers of eating disorders within the modeling industry. Notably, her older sister and fellow model, Luisel Ramos, also died from eating-disorder-related heart failure shortly before Eliana’s passing.
