About Elena Pietrini
Elena Pietrini (born March 17, 2000) is an Italian wing spiker known for her career as a volleyball player. Hailing from Bologna, Italy, she has represented the Italian national volleyball team and made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Pietrini’s early success came as a member of the youth national team where she secured the runner-up position to Russia at the 2017 Girls’ U18 Volleyball European Championship. She later earned a spot in the national squad to compete in women’s volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Standing tall at 6’3″, Pietrini hails from a sporting family background; her father Alberto Pietrini was a professional basketball player while her mother Laura Pietrini and sister Giulia Pietrini were both involved in volleyball. In addition to being an accomplished athlete, she also serves as a brand ambassador for Nike.
In 2022, Elena married David Paunovic following what continues to be an illustrious career on both domestic and international levels.
