Electra Avellan is a Venezuelan movie actress born on August 12, 1986 in Caracas. She is best known for her roles in the films Machete and Grindhouse, often working alongside her twin sister Elise. Her acting career began when she made her debut at the age of 21 in the 2007 film Grindhouse. Electra reprised her role as Nurse Mona in the 2013 sequel to Machete, called Machete Kills. Notably, her aunt Elizabeth Avellan was married to writer and director Robert Rodriguez who cast both twins in Grindhouse and the Machete film franchise.
