Elaine Lively, born on June 11, 1947 in Tarzana, California, is a talent manager and former actress known for her role in the 1993 Return to Zork. She is best known as the mother of the large Lively acting family which includes her youngest daughter Blake Lively, star of Gossip Girl and wife of actor Ryan Reynolds. Elaine is a prominent feature on Blake’s Instagram.
Before gaining fame, Elaine was born Willie Elian McAlpin and was raised in California where she made a career in the Hollywood Industry.
A passionate traveler and philanthropist, she supports war veterans amongst other pro-humanitarian causes. Notably, when she married her second husband Ernie Lively, he changed his surname to match hers from her first marriage – breaking matrimonial tradition.
Elaine’s first marriage to Ronnie Lively lasted from 1966-1979 before ending in divorce. Later that same year she married prolific character actor Ernie Lively. With Ronnie, she had three children—all actors: Lori Lively,Jason Lively,and Robyn Lively.Ernie agreed and completed the adoption procedures for all three children after their marriage.With Ernie, Elaine has two additional children who are also actors:Eric Livelyand Blake lively.
