Dounia Batma is a Moroccan pop singer born on April 1, 1991, in Casablanca, Morocco. She is best known for finishing as the runner-up on the first season of Arab Idol on MBC in 2013.
Prior to her music career, she pursued studies in tourism after completing high school and participated in a Moroccan musical competition called Studio 2M at the age of eighteen.
After her appearance on Arab Idol, she was signed to Saudi Platinum Records. Her uncle is Laarbi Batma who leads the fusion group Nass El Ghiwane. In 2013, Dounia married Mohamed Al Turk and they welcomed their first child in June 2017. Additionally, her sister is model Ibtissam Batma.
