About Dory Previn
Dory Previn (October 22, 1925 – February 14, 2012) was an American songwriter known for her work with her former husband Andre Previn. Born in New Jersey, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and went on to have a successful career as a lyricist, composing songs for numerous films. Alongside Andre Previn, she was nominated for several Academy Awards.
Following her divorce from Previn, Dory embarked on a solo recording career and continued to achieve success in her own right. In 1984, she married Joby Baker.
