Dorothy Devore (born June 22, 1899 in Texas) was a prominent actress during the silent film era. She gained recognition for her work in Universal Pictures comedies and found success starring in two-reel comedies. Devore began her career after a stint in musical comedy and eventually signed with Universal, where she appeared in Lyons and Moran comedies before shifting to work with director Al Christie. Notably, she chose to depart from Universal Studios despite receiving further feature offers.
In 1926, Devore married Albert Wylie Mather, who owned a theater at the time.
