About Doreen Montalvo
Doreen Montalvo was born on November 15, 1963, in The Bronx, New York. She was a stage actress who made her Broadway debut in the 2007 production of In the Heights as a member of the ensemble. Montalvo also starred as Gloria Fajardo in the popular musical On Your Feet!. Prior to her Broadway success, she was nominated for a 2007 Drama Desk Award for best ensemble performance. She continued to gain recognition and earned a nomination for a 2016 Astaire Award for best ensemble performance in On Your Feet! Montalvo also appeared on various TV series, including Elementary and Smash.
Tragically, Doreen Montalvo passed away suddenly in October 2020. She is survived by her husband Michael and her step-children.
