About Donna J. Stone
Donna J. Stone (born February 23, 1933 in Ohio) was a poet and philanthropist known for her poetry collection Wielder of Words, published in the late 20th century. Her most famous individual poem is “Mother at 75.” In her early adulthood, Stone became involved in children’s rights activism after her son fell ill and suffered impairment, eventually founding the Matthew J. Pascal Foundation in his honor. She also briefly pursued a career as a fashion model. Stone was married twice and had two sons; her first husband, John Pascal, was a playwright with work produced on Broadway.
