Dianne Lennon, also known as DeeDee, was born on December 1, 1939 in Los Angeles, California. She is a pop singer and is best known for being one of the original singers in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame band The Lennon Sisters. The group gained fame through their regular performances on The Lawrence Welk Show.
Lennon’s music career began when she and her group debuted in 1955. They achieved chart success with their 1956 single “Tonight You Belong to Me.” After getting married in 1960, she took a four-year hiatus from the group before rejoining.
She was born Dianne Barbara and later married Dick Gass, with whom she had three children.
