About Diana Wynne Jones
Diana Wynne Jones was an English novelist born on August 16, 1934 in England. She is best known for her fantasy novels for both children and adults, including the Dalemark series and the novel Howl’s Moving Castle.
Before gaining fame as a writer, Jones studied English at St Anne’s College in Oxford and graduated in 1956. In 2007, she received the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement.
In 1956, she married John Burow with whom she had three sons.
