About Dena Kaplan
Dena Kaplan is a South African-born TV actress, best known for her role as Abigail Armstrong in the Australian teen television drama Dance Academy and Stephanie Wolfe in City Homicide. She was born on January 20, 1989, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Kaplan trained at the Australian Ballet School and the City Dance Centre before making her first stage performance in Production Company’s Carousel. Prior to her TV roles, she worked as a dancer and singer in the Disney production of The Lion King.
She comes from a family with strong ties to entertainment; her younger sister Ariel Kaplan starred in The Saddle Club while her older sister Gemma-Ashley is also an actress.
