Daphne Reid (born July 13, 1948) is an American television actress known for her role as Vivian Banks on the classic NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Originally from New York City, New York, Reid has also appeared on popular TV series such as Murder, She Wrote, The Cosby Show and Sister, Sister.
Prior to her acting career, Reid attended Northwestern University and pursued a career in modeling. She made her big screen debut in the 1984 film Protocol.
In 1982 she married actor Tim Reid with whom she shares a son named Christopher.
