Danielle Mone Truitt is an American TV actress, best known for her role as the title character in the BET police drama Rebel. Born on March 2, 1981, Truitt studied theatre and dance at Sacramento State University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
Truitt made her screen debut in the 2005 film Fugitive Hunter and later voiced the character Georgia in the Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog. In addition to her work on screen, she has also performed as a stage actress, including a sold-out run of her original one-woman play “Black Girl Blues” in New York City.
Aside from her acting career, Truitt is involved in ministry with her husband at The Livingroom church in Van Nuys, California. She and her husband have two sons.
