About Corina Gutierrez
Corina Gutierrez, born on April 17, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas is an activist and motivational speaker. Despite being wheelchair-bound due to osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease, she obtained a Zumba teaching license and uses her expertise to raise awareness about her condition. She shares teaching videos on her YouTube channel “ez2smile,” which have garnered thousands of views.
Gutierrez’s health significantly improved within three months of practicing Zumba regularly. In February of 2011, she became a licensed Zumba instructor. By the time she was just 15 months old, she had already endured more than 200 fractures due to her genetic condition.
In recognition of her efforts and influence in the fitness industry despite physical challenges, Gutierrez received the Zumba Fitness International Role Model Award in 2011.
