Claire Wineland, born on April 10, 1997 in Austin, Texas, was an American entrepreneur and founder of the award-winning non-profit organization Claire’s Place Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to providing support to families living with Cystic Fibrosis. Despite being born with the disease herself, Claire became a passionate advocate for others suffering from it.
Prior to her fame as an entrepreneur and philanthropist, Claire discovered her love for performing at a young age and landed her first role in The Music Man at just 4 years old. Remarkably, she founded her own company at the age of 13.
One of her notable contributions was starring in the CW series My Last Days portraying individuals facing life-threatening illnesses. Tragically, Claire passed away from a massive stroke following one of her transplant surgeries after enduring upwards of 30 surgical procedures throughout her life.
Claire Wineland left behind a legacy that continues through her foundation and inspiring advocacy efforts within the Cystic Fibrosis community. She also had a younger sister named Ellie Wineland.
