About Chantelle Barry
Chantelle Barry is an Australian pop singer, born on March 18, 1980 in Perth. She gained recognition as a recording artist, songwriter and actress with her 2009 album Simple Things. The album’s single “YOU” earned her first place in the UK Songwriting Contest and was a top 5 finalist in the Songwriters Universe Song Of The Month contest.
Prior to her solo career, Barry won Australia’s version of Popstars in 2000, securing a spot in the pop girl group Bardot. Their single “Poison” soared to #1 on the Aria singles chart and achieved double platinum status.
Beyond music, she has lent her voice to the Oculus Rift video game Edge of Nowhere and appeared in independent films along with landing a recurring role on the series 90210.
In addition to her musical achievements, Chantelle played at Hollywood’s Hard Rock Cafe location during Mother’s Day as a tribute to her mother. During her early twenties, she made the move from Australia to the United States.
More recently after Simple Things, she released another album titled Lovers Gonna Love showcasing versatility across both music and acting pursuits.
