About Cathy Rigby
Cathy Rigby, born on December 12, 1952 in Los Alamitos, California, is a former Olympic gymnast turned actress. She gained recognition for her role as Peter Pan in the stage production of the same name, which received a Tony Award nomination for Best Revival of a Musical.
Prior to her acting career, Rigby started training in gymnastics at an early age and represented the United States at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Her success in the sport helped popularize gymnastics in the U.S.
After retiring from competitive gymnastics following the 1972 Olympics, she pursued a career in acting. Rigby’s film credits include “McKenna Shoots for the Stars” (2012).
Rigby was previously married to Tommy Mason and has two sons with him. After their divorce in 1973, she married Thomas McCoy; together they have two daughters.
