About Carolyn See
Carolyn See (born January 13, 1934 in California) was a novelist, non-fiction author, and journalist. She is best known for her 1995 memoir, Dreaming: Hard Luck and Good Times in America. Some of her notable novels include The Handyman (1999) and There Will Never Be Another You (2006). Before gaining recognition as an author, she earned her PhD from the University of California-Los Angeles and wrote book reviews for the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times.
In addition to her writing career under her own name, See also wrote several novels using the pen name Monica Highland. Born and raised in Southern California, she eventually became a mother to two children: Lisa and Clark.
