About Carolina Gaitan
Carolina Gaitan, born on April 4, 1984 in Colombia, is a TV actress and singer. She rose to fame as a member of the all-girl group Escarcha, whose debut self-titled album sold over 20,000 copies on its first day. Following the disbandment of the group, Gaitan transitioned to a successful acting career in television.
In 2021, she achieved widespread recognition for her voice acting role as Pepa in the movie Encanto.
Gaitan developed her passion for singing at a young age and later successfully auditioned for the Colombian reality TV series Popstars. Her television debut came in 2005 with Amorcity Corazon on CityTV network. In 2015, she notably appeared in the Netflix series Narcos as Marina Ochoa.
Born and raised in Villavicencio, Colombia, Gaitan married Nicolas Moreno in 2015.
