Carmen Consoli, born on September 4, 1974 in the small town of San Giovanni la Punta in Sicily, Italy, is a hugely successful Italian singer-songwriter. She started playing guitar at the age of 15 and released her first album, Due Parole, in 1996. Consoli has achieved significant commercial success with multiple multi-Platinum albums during her career, such as Stato di Necessita (2000) and L’eccezione (2002).
Her accolades include more than half a dozen Italian Music Awards and the prestigious Targa Tenco award for Album of the Year for her work on Elettra.
