About Bonny Hicks
Bonny Hicks was a renowned fashion model and author, best known for her socially groundbreaking books Excuse Me, Are You a Model? (1990) and Discuss Disgust (1992). She also gained attention for her controversial newspaper column “The Bonny Hicks Diary.”.
Before gaining fame, she started her modeling career while studying at Hwa Chong Junior College under the guidance of talent agent Patricia Chan Li-Yin. Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Englishman Ron Hicks and Betty Soh, she spent most of her youth in Singapore.
Tragically, Bonny Hicks and her fiancé Randy Dalrymple perished in the SilkAir Flight 185 crash while traveling from Jakarta to Singapore in 1997.
