About Bonnie Lythgoe
Bonnie Lythgoe (born August 3, 1950) is a British former dancer, director, and choreographer. She achieved success with West End productions such as Peter Pan and Cinderella before gaining international recognition as a judge on the first season of So You Think You Can Dance and appearing as a contestant on the second season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.
Prior to her fame, she auditioned for BBC’s Young Generation dance troupe in 1969. Notably, the proceeds from her appearance on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! were donated directly to Olivia Newton-John‘s Cancer and Wellness Centre.
Bonnie was married to director and producer Nigel Lythgoe from 1974 to 2010. Together they have two sons named Kristopher and Simon. Her maiden name is Bonita Shawe.
